Pizza Tower/Unused Rooms/Hub Rooms/Reception Hub World (2024)

This is a sub-page of Pizza Tower/Unused Rooms/Hub Rooms.

To do:
  • Images/Room rips.
  • Typo/grammar fixes.

This hub world was built to be a big, explorable world in of itself with multiple interactions that would help you get to the next areas. Everything from talking to NPCs, finishing a level, to using transformations could unlock the next level. Furthermore, it was built to allow for different paths you could take to progress in the game. Not every level was required to be finished to beat the game.

Though in this hub's state, you might as well play it all.

All treasures are represented as paper bags, unless stated otherwise.

Worlds

World 1 - Pizza Tower Lobby

The player starts off in the Reception. Collecting the paper treasure on the right allows you to "unlock" the elevator, though it doesn't do anything as you can go to any floor of the elevator at any point.

The first floor is Pizza Tower Lobby. The way to the left is blocked off by Pillar John. Going to the right will reveal John Gutter in the Entrance Lobby. Finishing the level will destroy John and allow you to progress.

Going to the left will reveal a short hallway titled Entrance Lobby, a bigger room with some stuff upwards titled Medieval Lobby and part of a beach titled Port. To progress, climb up the ladder to access Pizzascape. Finishing the level will lower the knight statue.

To continue, go to the right where you'll find the Pizza Tower Complex. The area on the right is blocked off. Going to the left will reveal a room titled Ruin Lobby, where you'll find Ancient Cheese. All the way to the left is Pepperman as an NPC. Talking to him will make him say:

Stop right there fella, if you wanna get pass this point you're gonna have to beat me.Not right here though. As I am not comfortable in this environment, pardon me.Meet me at the Mr. Stick arena just east of here, and we can settle this.

Despite this, he isn't programmed to stop you. Going up the ladder will send you to World 2's Wasteland. Finishing Ancient Cheese will spawn a goblin NPC in the Medieval Lobby. Go there and talk to him.

Interact with the goblin NPC and he'll say the following:

Welcome to the bomb store.Would you like to purchase the only item in stock? There you go buddy

An unused interaction exists as well where he won't be able to give you the bomb because you don't have any money. He's never programmed to do so.

Welcome to the bomb store.Would you like to purchase the only item in stock? It doesn't seem you have enough money though, come back later before you miss out in this explosive deal.

He'll give you a bomb spawner, which will allow you to break the floor below. Due to the short time you have to break the floor however, it's impossible to break it without further modding. If you do manage to break the floor, you can go down and access the Dungeon Lobby where you'll find Bloodsauce Dungeon. Finishing the level will destroy a pot in the Pizza Tower Complex, which will allow you to access the Mr. Stick Arena. Go there to fight Pepperman.

After fighting Pepperman, you'll respawn in whatever level you last entered. In theory, you'd receive the key to access the next floor, but you can just go up without it. Go to the elevator to go to the Farmland.

World 2 - Farmland

In Farmland, you'll find the Vigilante on the right and the Wasteland on the left. Approaching the Vigilante will make him say:

Not one step closer!

If you do take one step closer, he'll harm you and say:

You gotta fight me!

From here, you can fight the Vigilante. Go back to the Mr. Stick Arena and fight him. Nothing happens after you defeat him though, as his boss isn't programmed to make him disappear after you defeat him. His older version of his boss is programmed this way however.

Going to the Wasteland will show you a door. Going through the door will reveal hub_chiefaintent, which has an incorrect room name that says Warpath. Talking to the chieftain NPC will make him say the following:

Have my motorcycle lol

From here, you've unlocked the Motodude which had its functionality changed and will now just break on impact. With the motorcycle, you can burst through a wall that blocks Oregano Desert.

Furthermore, on the left is a ladder that goes down to Ruin Lobby, an unused throwable tombstone and a pit that leads to Wasteyard, an area up that leads to Pizzaland and an area to the left that leads to the Warpath with War left inaccessible. Going up will reveal Pizzaland. To the right is a Cannon Goblin, whereas leftways is a hallway to Super Pinball (a level scrapped from the final game) with Mort the Chicken blocking the way. Coming too close to him will make Mort harm you and have him say:

Becaw! You gotta wait in line sir.

Finishing Oregano Desert will unlock the gate for Deep-Dish 9 in Farmland, a World 3 level.

Finishing Deep-Dish 9 will make Mort the Chicken walk away in the Golf and Super Pinball rooms.

Returning to Super Pinball will reveal a door and an alien NPC that says:

Go ahead!

Entering the door after talking to the NPC will crash the game because a removed groundpound sound effect is referenced. If you modify the game to fix this, a cutscene will play of Peppino riding a cart that stops right before descending into a pit, dropping him out from the sky and into the Pub, which contains Space Pinball. Finishing the level spawns a Beer treasure. Collecting it will allow you to pass the Pizzaslug in Pizzaland Exit.

Exiting from the Pub sends you to the pub entrance, which is just outside the tower. Entering back in sends you to the Reception room. From here, go back to Farmland into the Hole to find a gate for Wasteyard. Finishing the level will reveal a ghost hazard object. Touching the hazard will turn you into a ghost. From here, you are supposed to possess the Indian Cheese enemy, walk up to the haystacks and use its weapon to destroy a rope. With a change in the game's mechanics, this is now impossible, so you'll have to modify the game or modify your save file.

Once you've defeated the Vigilante and broke the rope, you can access Fun Farm. Finishing the level does nothing.

World 3 - Pizzaland Exit

Already having completed parts of this world, there's only a few things left to do. On the bottom right is a bottle treasure and an NPC. Walking past him makes him say:

You gotta pay your fee!

Talking to him without the required money will make him say:

The exit fee is a bajillion dollars, sorry

Since it's impossible to pay for this fee because the game isn't programmed to do so, this piece of dialog goes unused:

Your exit fee is paid, go right ahead!

Passing him will walk you through the Graffiti Hall. On the left is the Industrial Complex and on the right is the Noisette Café Hall. In this hall is a gate to The Pig City and a door to the Noisette Café. Finishing The Pig City will grant you the Graffiti treasure.

On the top right of Pizzaland Exit is a door. If you go through it, you will encounter a gate for Golf. If Deep-Dish 9 hasn't been finished yet, Mort the Chicken will appear here and block the way. Finishing Golf will grant you a Burger treasure. Go back to Pizzaland where you'll be able to talk to the Cannon Goblin. Normally, he would say:

I need a burger if you wanna blow up the factory wall

If you've got the burger treasure, he'll say:

Meet me outside the factory wall

World 4 - Industrial Complex

Entering the Noisette Café will show NPCs for the Vigilante and the Noise. Walking past the Noise will make him say:

no

Talking to him instead will make the Noise say:

fight the noise

Return to the Mr. Stick Arena and fight the Noise. After fighting him, you won't be able to bypass him as his boss isn't programmed that way. His older version of the boss is. You'll have to modify the game or your save file again to continue. Returning to him will make him say:

you fought the noise

You can't progress yet however, since there's an extra task you have to complete. Talking to the Vigilante will make him say:

wash my darn hat

Go back to the Graffiti Hall and then to the Industrial Complex. You should theoretically now be allowed to use the elevator to fast travel to this room. If you've given the Burger treasure to the Cannon Goblin earlier, he'll appear at the end of this room. Talking to him will make him say:

Lets blow this thing then

A small cutscene will play of the Cannon Goblin shooting a bomb. After the bomb has blown up, he'll say:

Let's go fella

After that, he'll run away and enter the Industrial Hall (mistitled as the Industrial Complex). Entering the room yourself will lock you from accessing the original version of Peppibot Factory. The game wasn't programmed correctly to activate a graffiti cutscene and unlock the gate, so you'll have to modify your save file to continue. After finishing the level, electricity will be restored to the Laundry Room and you'll unlock Don't Make A Sound.

Finishing Don't Make A Sound will spawn the Pizzamech in Warpath, though it won't be powered on because nothing is programmed to activate it. The gap is big enough to go straight to War however.

From the Industrial Complex, go back to Pizzaland Exit where you'll find the Pizzaboy Pizz Pizza room, which also has the Laundry Room. Collecting the Hat treasure (not a paper bag) will allow you to wash his hat once electricity to the washing machine is restored. Even if all of these conditions are met, a programming error will prevent you from using the washing machine as the level Oh sh*t! remains inaccessible, so you'll have to modify your save file. After that, return back to the Vigilante, where he'll give you the Pepper Pizza and say:

there you go, a jetpack

Talking to him again after eating the Pepper Pizza will make him say:

you washed my darn hat

From here, you can continue to the Freezer Lobby (mislabeled as Noisette Café). You'll see a frozen Cheese Dragon. Behind him is the gate to Refrigerator-Refrigerador-Freezerator. Finishing the level will crash the game as the game tries to reference the same missing groundpound sound effect from earlier. Same for when the Cheese Dragon is unfrozen and stomps the ground. Either modifying the game or your save file will let you continue, which will unlock the Grand Pizzard Tower from the Medieval Lobby, and Plains from the Pizza Tower Complex.

Go first back to the left of the Medieval Lobby where you'll find the Grand Pizza Tower and a subroom that belongs to it. Up in the room is a Gnome NPC. Talking to him will change Pizzascape to Pizzascare. Return to the Medieval Lobby where you'll find the level. Finishing it does nothing.

Go to the Plains where you'll find the gate to the scrapped Mansion level. Finishing the level will grant you the Gasoline treasure, though it's useless since nothing is programmed to activate it. It's possible it was intended for the Pizzamech.

Now that the Pizzamech is theoretically activated, you'll be able to access War legitimately. Finishing the level will make a bomb drop from the sky into the Top Entrance and Laundry Room.

This is where the hub abruptly ends. You can travel to the Top Entrance via the Laundry Room, but there's nothing up there and you won't be able to access the unused Top level.

Inaccessible Areas

Some parts of the Reception hub never activate or go unused as they were even more unfinished than what's on show here.

The Tutorial (hub_tutorial), which should've been accessible from the Reception on the right. Nothing exists there and the tutorial room is empty.

Port has an unused Cheese Boat object that would've activated after finishing Deep-Dish 9, but it doesn't because the variable is different. This also would've opened the way to the otherwise inaccessible Island.

The Island (hub_island) has pools of water and two level gates on the left. What you'll come across in order is Gnome Forest, a Pepperman NPC and Crust Cove. Finishing Gnome Forest will crash the game because it tries to play the removed groundpound sound effect. Funnily enough, this cutscene isn't supposed to play. What should happen is that a Gustavo NPC will appear in Gustavo Camp, a room between the Pizza Tower Lobby and the Medieval Lobby, though due to a programming error, he never does. Modifying the game to circumvent this crash will play a cutscene of Pepperman appearing in the Hole spawning another Cheese Boat, which will allow you to access the gate to Oh sh*t!

Talking to Pepperman without grabbing the Bottle treasure first in Pizzaland Exit will make him say:

Seems you don't have either a bottle or a piece of paper.

You can still pass him as he isn't programmed to stop you. If you did get the treasure, he'll say:

Here you go

A solid will rise from the water, theoretically allowing you to go to the next part of the hub. After this, Pepperman will say:

Go ahead

If you talk to him again after this, then he'll say:

Beach boat

You'll now be able to access the original version of Crust Cove. Finishing the level should now play the cutscene mentioned above.

The Hole (hub_sewer) is a small room with Oh sh*t! on the left and a Cheese Boat if you've unlocked this earlier from the Island. Finishing the level will drain the water in the Laundry Room and later allow you to wash the Vigilante's hat.

Despite the Mr. Stick Arena having a fourth door to fight him as a boss, it remains inaccessible as he isn't present in the hub at all, and nothing is programmed to activate his door.
