I asked for your Top 5 Most-Requested Milkshake Flavors you wanted me to make and you all suggested someGREATideas! From classics like Strawberries and Cream and Banana Puddingto super fun flavors like S’mores and Cherry Pie, I just love whipping up these summertime treats! Using my 2 Ingredient Ice Cream Recipe and milk as the base, I’ve enjoyed creating theserecipes by adding in all the fresh fruit and yummy sweets I have in my kitchen!

Who would have thought the number one most requested flavor would be…a Frozen Hot Chocolate Milkshake? This flavor is simple yet unexpected, combining the hot chocolate powder with ice cream and milk. The finished milkshake is super rich and chocolatey, with a hint of that malty kind of flavor. Just like a regular hot chocolate, I top this milkshake off with whipped cream and shaved chocolate.

Now you can have your hot chocolate in the summertime too! Just like the real thing this recipe is surprisingly decadent and so easy to make. This recipe is only 3 ingredients, most likely things you keep in your fridge and cupboard already.

You’re probably thinking this flavor tastes just like a regular chocolate milkshake, but you’ll just have to try it and see. The milk powder in the hot chocolate mixed with the ice cream is so, SO yummy, and it makes all the difference in the flavor. If you don’t have hot chocolate on hand, give my homemade hot chocolate mix recipe a try. You will love it in this milkshake or in the classic hot version. I highly encourage you to give this easy treat a try this summer, everyone will adore it!

Hi Gemma

I’m really just a traditionalist when it comes to milk shakes, so I stick to good old chocolate and vanilla. What’s the best recipe for simply chocolate? Would it be this one with cocoa powder vs hot cocoa powder? What about vanilla? Do I just use the ice cream and a cup of milk?
